Can I have more than one profile?No. Each profile is meant to be unique to each person.

Is it Legal?Yes, it is legal. Once you accept the terms and conditions of our application and digitally sign your documents, your documents become legal. They will supersede any previous written, printed, and or digital designations.

Is it free?Yes, for persons who are chronically homeless and the elderly. No, for persons outside of these two demographics can designate their next of kin, create a living will, and design their final desires for a small nominal fee. Most of which cost no more than $9.99.

What if I was chosen as a next of kin, but I do not want the responsibility?"Every next of kin is notified one of three ways, either by phone, email, or regular mail service. Once notified every ‘next of kin’ has the option to accept or decline the invitation. Should you decline the originator is notified to choose a different person. Should you accept, than you are given instructions and a password is given once the originator has passed.

Will my information be shared or sold?No, Your Next of Kin is designed to give every human being dignity and respect and we believe that this can only be done through integrity. This means that we are very careful to protect everyone’s identity and their privacy. Our lawyers make sure that you are protected, and you will always have to option to change their opt-in or opt-out options. We do not sell any information to third party companies.

What if I am not in contact with my family?This application allows you to legally and respectfully choose who your ‘next of kin’ is. It does not have to be a relative. It can be a partner or a close friend. Our goal is to give you full-rights and final say-so over how your final wishes our carried out. Should you want to be connected to a person you may have lost contact with our researchers will do their best to find a lost relative.

Can anyone use this service?Yes, the original concept of Your Next of Kin was inspired by the creators own family member who was chronically homeless and ill. She wanted to give them the opportunity to declare and determine what their final wishes would be with dignity and respect, regardless of socio-economical background. Everyone has the right to plan their final wishes.

Does my next of kin have to be a family member?No, it does not. You can choose anyone you want.

Can I use this app even if I am unemployed, young, without children, unmarried, or just a regular person?"Yes, this application is meant for everyone over the age of 18. Anyone who has full and legal power over their decisions can use Your Next of Kin.
